Thanks for the thoughts, Brother. We serve the same master, or follow the same muse ...

I do suspect that the system will break rather than successfully implement 4IR. The more rural you are, the less 4IR will be feasible to implement.

Survival, as you explained, drove young men to work in Victorian factories instead...

Like you, I am just doing what I can and sharing about it as I am able.

Hello John,

Pleased to make your acquaintance. We'll read your work for sure. Solidarity - across the ocean.

It's nice to meet somebody who sees where things are going, without resorting to the defense of massive denial.

Well-Met!

Reads like you are doing too much, thinking they will win puts a pall over what you can do.

Yes, food and fuel.

This one post is interesting enough to want to read more. You might be one who really needs a paid subscription, I have been bamboozled twice now, paying for ideas I didn't like, so I need to read more.

Hi Rick,

The words are free and always will be, but of course all donations are welcome and go towards the costs of moving forwards. I want people to read previous posts as well - they are seasonal, and usually topical - but, as most of us here on Substack know, what is topical now has long been discussed. Each has taken much effort, to live as well as to document.

You can find them at www.walkingwithgoats.substack.com

Thank you for wanting to read more.

Your way with words is inspiring and the subsistence described sounds hard but aspirational.

Thank you Paul. Being able to write about it and share the experiences with others who are fighting for meaning during this time has made the last three years worthwhile. It's easier now - as I learn, and as the animals I'm living with learn about me. We are more of a symbiosis now. The grief is hard when it comes. I hope for less of it this year.
